Wood and High Elf Gallery
Introduction

The High Elf range is one of Irregulars best in terms of quality and I quite like the style of the figures as well. The figures are not cast together so the strips can be split very easily apart from the Knights. Some of the Followers of the Light range can easily be used as High Elves as they as quite tall figures with pointy helmets.

The Wood Elves are also good figures and they certainly look like wood elves should! They are slightly taller than the human figures but could easily be used to represent humans. I painted some of mine in bright colours to make them stand out, but they should have more green and brown colours, especially if you want to use them for LoTR.

They are all based for Fantasy rules although the Characters are mounted on coins for practical reasons. The unit bases are 40x40mm and 40x20mm (2 bases make a 40x40mm unit) and the coins are old NZ 2c coins.

High Elf Heros. These are all from the Elf Champions code.

Wood Elf Heros. These are a mix of Wood Elf Champions and a Wood Elf Light Chariot with the front 2 horses removed.

Knights. Great figures but the strip is molded in one piece and is impossible to split up.

Wood Elf Heavy Cavalry. Okay figures with a mix of lance and bow and cloaks which hide a lot of detail but it makes them easy to paint.

Elvish Swordsmen. Fantastic detailing on these and they are a breeze to paint. Some of the units I added heros to the front rank.

Light Cavalry. These are a mix of Wood Elf Cavalry and Amazon cavalry which I had a few spares.

Elvish Bow. The standards are from the Command strips and again, they are great figures.

Spearmen and Halberdiers. All in the same style as the other Wood elf figures. Some detail is obscured by the cloaks but it also makes them easier to paint.

Chariots. They look a bit like bathtubs so I painted these light pink.

Bow. The standards are from the Command strips.

Elvish Spearmen. Very finely cast figures from Baccus. Note the pointy helmets.

Skirmishers. These are bow strips cut up and scattered on the base to create skirmish units.

Elvish Bow. More very well detailed figures from Baccus figures.

Artillery. These are Elvish crew with Ballistas from the Equipment range. Note some of the bases have pack animals and heros on them to add a bit of variety.

Light Chariots. Good models which come with the standard cast onto it.
